Refund policy

14-Day "Cooling-Off" Period

We want you to be completely satisfied with your Wahlch board. If you are not happy with your board for any reason and without any justification, you have the right to return your order within 14 days, subject to the following conditions:

  • Unused & Undamaged: The item must be in brand-new, original condition. It must not have been used, washed, oiled, or altered in any way. Any signs of knife marks, use, or physical damage will immediately void the return eligibility.
  • Original Packaging Required: You must retain and use the original packaging. The board must be shipped back in its original protective MDF crate and internal padding to ensure it is not damaged during the return transit.
  • Return Shipping: For "cooling-off" or change-of-mind returns, a return fee of $50 is payable by the customer due to the size, weight and logistics involved. This amount will be deducted from the refund.
  • Inspection & Refund: Once we receive the returned item and it passes our physical inspection to confirm its pristine condition, we will process a refund to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Transit Damage & Insurance

We fully insure every Wahlch order against loss or damage during transit. Because our solid timber boards are heavy, premium items, our carriers have strict evidence requirements to process damage claims.

Please inspect your order immediately upon receipt. If your item arrives damaged, you must contact us at customerservice@wahlch.com within 48 hours of delivery so we can initiate an insurance claim on your behalf.

  • Important: To satisfy the carrier’s transit insurance requirements, you must retain all original exterior boxes and interior packaging materials. The carrier requires photographic proof of the packaging to verify that the damage occurred during transit.

  • Note: If the original packaging is discarded, the carrier will automatically deny the insurance claim, and we will unfortunately be unable to authorize a return or replacement for transit damage.

Manufacturing Defects (60-Day Warranty)

We warranty that our boards will be free from material and manufacturing defects for a period of 60 days from the date of receipt.

  • What is a defect: Structural faults that render the board unusable, such as deep splitting of the timber or joint delamination resulting from manufacturing errors.
  • What is NOT a defect: Natural wood characteristics (color variations, sugar marks, grain inconsistencies), normal wear and tear, or damage caused by the customer (including dropping, improper washing, dishwashers, or failure to maintain the board with oil/wax).
  • To file a claim: Email customerservice@wahlch.com with photos of the defect and your serial number. If the defect is confirmed as a manufacturing fault, we will authorize a return and cover the return shipping costs. We reserve the right to repair, replace, or refund the item at our discretion.
